We are NASDAQ-listed and are one of the fastest-growing sport-tech companies on the planet. Our division, “Sportradar ad:s” provides data-driven marketing and sponsorship services to the iGaming industry, designed to help deliver significant efficiency improvements for marketing investments.
The ad:s team develops and provides purpose-built tools and services to meet the individual marketing needs of sportsbooks and media publishers worldwide.
ROLE:
We are looking to fill a brand new tester position in our team. We have a modern tech stack, the work is intriguing and the team is, frankly, awesome. Oh, did we mention great coffee?
Now, let's be a little serious. We are looking for a tester with decent coding background to help us build a contract testing solution for one of our data teams. That means a lot of responsibility, but also a lot of freedom to do things your way. We want to hear your input on how best to test the intertwined backend system and then build it together.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Building a suite of contract tests to validate the consistency of our data
  • Verifying new features that allow our other teams to bring the most value to their clients
  • Working in a cloud-first environment
  • Providing feedback on new features in development
YOUR PROFILE:
We know that it is unlikely that you will have experience with all of these technologies, so none of them is strictly required, as long as you are willing to learn. But the more you know, the better fit you will be.
  • experience with testing APIs. Integration or contract testing experience is strongly preferred
  • experience with using different programming languages, primarily Golang, but a bit of python and javascript/typescript is also acceptable
  • knows how to write automated test to validate REST/GraphQL/gRPC APIs
  • experience with functional E2E testing
It would be also really cool, if you knew something about:
  • protobuf for defining an API service
  • contract driven testing
  • ETL and/or data pipelines
Apart from that, we definitely expect you to be able to:
  • review and validate user stories and requirements
  • work with engineers to raise confidence in the correctness of the data we produce
  • evaluate the user stories and raise defects
  • drive improvements to the testing methodology and processes
  • grow and learn with us
  • explore and understand how the system works in and out
  • have a keen eye to spot tiny details, but also be able to zoom out to see the bigger picture
  • be able to look at a problem from different angles.
OUR OFFER:
  • Be part of a startup-like culture within a global, NASDAQ-listed corporation
  • Become part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in the digital sports environment and help us scale our operations
  • Be part of a highly motivated, innovative, and dynamic team with people from more than 20 nationalities in our office
  • Home office and flexible working hours
  • Education and training, like German and English courses and Sportradar eAcademy
  • Tickets for sports events and concerts, as well as darts, table football, and table tennis for after-work sports activities in the office
  • Team activities, like Happy Hours or marathons.
  • Sportradar takes over the full costs of € 365.- for the Öffi-Ticket (Jahreskarte in Vienna) for you.
The minimum monthly salary for this position is according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, overpayment will be considered depending on qualifications and working experience.
We are passionate about what we do, and we care passionately about our people. Come and help us to grow, innovate and develop!
We encourage everyone to apply, even if you might not feel you have all the requirements. We'd like you to give us a chance to evaluate your skills and experience.
For people living with disabilities, chronic illnesses, neurodiversity or anything else that makes you unique, adjustment and support during the interview process can make a decisive difference. Please let us know if you need any accommodations and feel comfortable disclosing this. We will do our best to meet your needs.
